26 Aug 2007 - Romsey Raised Beds launched - for people who want to grow veg without bending
Want to grow fruit and veg without bending? Would like to grow things but think an allotment is far too big for you?
Then it might be that a raised bed is the very thing for you.
A new project, called Romsey Raised Beds, at the Stourbridge Grove Allotment site, is offering local people the chance to grow their own veg on a raised bed near the main entrance. The brambles have been cleared, the plot is dug over and the raised beds are being constructed.
There are a variety of heights on offer, from ankle high through wheel chair height to waist high for those who want to garden standing up straight. If you would like to try gardening on one of these raised beds, please contact Josy on tel no 01223 243329 or email jfairbairns@yahoo.co.uk
The project was launched on 27th August.
